DCI Project update & accountability report

Implementation of the Digital Content Infrastructure for the Human and Social Sciences (DCI) Project has been a key strategic objective for CRKN over the past year.  This session will provide an overview of the DCI project goals, processes, and outcomes to date, and present a draft accountability report for member discussion and feedback.

The emergence of diverse alternative publishing models, many originating from the open access movement, presents new challenges and opportunities for CRKN.  This session will discuss a CRKN statement of principles, and explore several partnership opportunities with other organization.

Cyberinfrastructure Development in Canada:  Issues and Opportunities

What is cyberinfrastructure, and why does it matter to CRKN?  This session will provide an overview of cyberinfrastructure developments and challenges in Canada, highlight initiatives of the Canadian University Council of Chief Information Officers (CUCCIO), explore tools developed by the researcher community, and consider opportunities to advance collaboration on these fronts.
