CRKN is looking for your Innovations

CRKN is preparing a comprehensive report to present to a CFI international panel of evaluators later this year. As part of that process, we’re looking for qualitative anecdotal evidence to demonstrate the different ways in which innovation is being realized. This report adds to the performance indicators that CRKN has to demonstrate the impact the knowledge platform has had on the Canadian academic research community, and will be repurposed to add to the toolkit members can use to promote the library within respective institutions. 

Digital Infrastructure Leadership Council

In the June 2012 NewsBrief, CRKN reported on the Digital Infrastructure Summit that was hosted by CUCCIO (Saskatoon, June 13-14, 2012) on the theme “Putting Researchers First.” The Summit concluded with broad commitment from multiple organizations -- networks, computing, university IT services, content and data repositories, libraries, funders -- to continue working in an integrated fashion across sectors to foster research, innovation and knowledge mobilization in Canada.

Cost-Sharing Advisory Group update

The CSAG held its third meeting in Montreal, Quebec at Concordia University on July 18, 2012. The minutes for that meeting are available (on the LIM), as well as the workplan and an updated literature review.

The Cost-Sharing Advisory Group (CSAG) held its third meeting at Concordia University in Montréal, Québec on July 18, 2012. This was the first of several planned in-person meetings scheduled to take place over the course of the group’s work.

CRKN Membership Benefits Statement

On June 4, CRKN issued the first (annual) customized Membership Benefits Statement. Intended to enumerate the value that individual members received from their participation in CRKN’s programs, they can be repurposed with university administrators and staff.
