The Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) is pleased to welcome Gemini Cheng to its staff team.

The Board of Directors of the Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Clare Appavoo as the organization’s new Executive Director, effective December 1, 2012.

The Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Ronald B. Bond as Interim Chair of the Board of Directors for a one-year term commencing October 22, 2012.

Please find attached information and the form for nominating individuals to fill three (3) elected positions on the Board of Directors.

On March 30, 2012, the CRKN Board met and approved the FY2012-13 budget, as prepared by management and recommended by the Finance & Audit Committee.   

CRKN’s founding Executive Director Deb deBruijn will step down at the end of December 2012, after thirteen years of leadership and service.  

CRKN is pleased to provide its quarterly financial update for the benefit of CRKN members in anticipation of the fall invoicing season. Members will recall that the bulk of CRKN invoicing takes place in October and November for the majority of CRKN licenses (with a January-December license period).

The Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) is pleased to welcome Kyla Denault and Monica Ward to its staff team.

Effective August 17, 2011, CRKN has elected to become a QST registrant. The change will simplify the administration of the tax for members in Quebec for invoices dated September 1, 2011 and later. Members outside Quebec will NOT be impacted.
